Biography of Khaled Al Mosleh
Shaykh Khaled AlMuslih was born in 1965 in the city of Makkah. As child, he received his elementary and secondary education between Makkah and Jeddah. The scholar joined King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, where in 1988, he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from the department of Information Systems in the College of Industrial Management.
However, it did not stop him from seeking Islamic knowledge and understanding the book of Allah which led him to join the College of Shari’ah at Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University, Qassim branch, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in 1994.
In need of further research and understanding, the Shaykh received in 1999 a Master’s degree in Fiqh (Jurisprudence) from the same College. His thesis was entitled “Incentives that Create Interest in Sales and its Rulings in Islamic Jurisprudence”.
This was rapidly followed by a doctorate’s degree in 2004 with a doctoral thesis entitles “The Rulings Concerning Inflation in Islamic Jurisprudence”.
With such education and knowledge, the scholar later joined the College of Shari’ah at Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University , Qassim branch, this time as a Professor delivering various lessons and lectures delivering the prophetic legacy. Shaykh Khaled AlMuslih memorized the Qur’an with Shaykh Muhammad bin Salman al-Salman. He studied very closely under Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Salih Al 'Uthaymeen, Shaykh Abdullah Al Bassam and Shaykh Ali Az Zamil and many others.
He started studying with Shaykh Muhammad bin Salih al-`Uthaymin since 1983, the latter read to him in Tafsir, Hadith, Usul al-Din (`Aqidah), Fiqh, Usul al-Fiqh and Arabic language. He was honored to be one of his sons in law marrying the Shaykh’s eldest daughter in 1987 and accompanied him ever since 1988 until the Shaykh passed away.
Under the Shaykh’s request, he started teaching in Ulayya Mosque in Unayzah in 1995 and appointed him to teach Tafsir, Usul al-Din and Tawhid during the illness of the Shaykh. Since then, he became the Khatib and Imam of the Mosque. The Shaykh also appointed him to take care of the student affairs and provide them with guidance which continued until the Shaykh’s death. Furthermore, Shaykh Khaled was one of the only three appointed as Shaykh Ibn 'Uthaymeen's successor in teaching Aqeedah and Tafseer.
Shaykh Khalid Al Muslih has also participated in various Fiqh related seminars, such as the Fiqh Council and Islamic conferences. He has also participated in teaching Islamic courses held in various cities around Saudi Arabia and has written many Islamic texts in various topics.
He regularly appears on TV on the following programs: “al-Jawab al-Kafi” on Majd TV Channel, “Rihab al-Shariah” on Iqra TV Channel, “Fatwa” on Dalil TV Channel, “Ask the People of Knowledge” on Rayah TV Channel, and “With the Shaykh” on Iqtisadiyyah TV Channel, as well as others.
