Iraqis welcome the holy month of Ramadan with an overwhelming joy and happiness, and they attend the mosques and the religious assemblies more often. Besides that, it is noticed to see a high increase in the family cohesions and social solidarity throughout the exchange of visits between relatives and neighbors.
One of the most notable festive manifestations in Iraq is the widespread of the popular traditional games such as “Mheibes” game, which attracts thousands of Iraqis and is mostly practiced in the known neighborhoods and cafes.
The breakfast meal in Iraq is distinguished by several different dishes, such as “the Iraqi Harisa”, which is topped with cinnamon and other spices, and “Al Hunaifia Al Baghdadia”, which is made of dates, oil, and ghee.
They also have “Al Dourma”, which is a type of stuffed food “Mahshi”, and also numerous dishes that an Iraqi table can’t be complete without.
