Read Surat Al-Burooj with Tafsir and Translation

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

وَالسَّمَاءِ ذَاتِ الْبُرُوجِ [١]

Translation: English - Sahih International

By the sky containing great stars

Verse number: 1

وَالْيَوْمِ الْمَوْعُودِ [٢]

Translation: English - Sahih International

And [by] the promised Day

Verse number: 2

وَشَاهِدٍ وَمَشْهُودٍ [٣]

Translation: English - Sahih International

And [by] the witness and what is witnessed,

Verse number: 3

قُتِلَ أَصْحَابُ الْأُخْدُودِ [٤]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Cursed were the companions of the trench

Verse number: 4

النَّارِ ذَاتِ الْوَقُودِ [٥]

Translation: English - Sahih International

[Containing] the fire full of fuel,

Verse number: 5

إِذْ هُمْ عَلَيْهَا قُعُودٌ [٦]

Translation: English - Sahih International

When they were sitting near it

Verse number: 6

وَهُمْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَفْعَلُونَ بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ شُهُودٌ [٧]

Translation: English - Sahih International

And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses.

Verse number: 7

وَمَا نَقَمُوا مِنْهُمْ إِلَّا أَنْ يُؤْمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ الْعَزِيزِ الْحَمِيدِ [٨]

Translation: English - Sahih International

And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah , the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy,

Verse number: 8

الَّذِي لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَاللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ شَهِيدٌ [٩]

Translation: English - Sahih International

To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah , over all things, is Witness.

Verse number: 9

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ فَتَنُوا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَتُوبُوا فَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ الْحَرِيقِ [١٠]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire.

Verse number: 10

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَهُمْ جَنَّاتٌ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ ذَٰلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْكَبِيرُ [١١]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment.

Verse number: 11

إِنَّ بَطْشَ رَبِّكَ لَشَدِيدٌ [١٢]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe.

Verse number: 12

إِنَّهُ هُوَ يُبْدِئُ وَيُعِيدُ [١٣]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats.

Verse number: 13

وَهُوَ الْغَفُورُ الْوَدُودُ [١٤]

Translation: English - Sahih International

And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate,

Verse number: 14

ذُو الْعَرْشِ الْمَجِيدُ [١٥]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Honorable Owner of the Throne,

Verse number: 15

فَعَّالٌ لِمَا يُرِيدُ [١٦]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Effecter of what He intends.

Verse number: 16

هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ الْجُنُودِ [١٧]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Has there reached you the story of the soldiers -

Verse number: 17

فِرْعَوْنَ وَثَمُودَ [١٨]

Translation: English - Sahih International

[Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud?

Verse number: 18

بَلِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فِي تَكْذِيبٍ [١٩]

Translation: English - Sahih International

But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial,

Verse number: 19

وَاللَّهُ مِنْ وَرَائِهِمْ مُحِيطٌ [٢٠]

Translation: English - Sahih International

While Allah encompasses them from behind.

Verse number: 20

بَلْ هُوَ قُرْآنٌ مَجِيدٌ [٢١]

Translation: English - Sahih International

But this is an honored Qur'an

Verse number: 21

فِي لَوْحٍ مَحْفُوظٍ [٢٢]

Translation: English - Sahih International

[Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate.
