Read Surat Al-Inshiqaq with Tafsir and Translation

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْشَقَّتْ [١]

Translation: English - Sahih International

When the sky has split [open]

Verse number: 1

وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ [٢]

Translation: English - Sahih International

And has responded to its Lord and was obligated [to do so]

Verse number: 2

وَإِذَا الْأَرْضُ مُدَّتْ [٣]

Translation: English - Sahih International

And when the earth has been extended

Verse number: 3

وَأَلْقَتْ مَا فِيهَا وَتَخَلَّتْ [٤]

Translation: English - Sahih International

And has cast out that within it and relinquished [it]

Verse number: 4

وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ [٥]

Translation: English - Sahih International

And has responded to its Lord and was obligated [to do so] -

Verse number: 5

يَا أَيُّهَا الْإِنْسَانُ إِنَّكَ كَادِحٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ كَدْحًا فَمُلَاقِيهِ [٦]

Translation: English - Sahih International

O mankind, indeed you are laboring toward your Lord with [great] exertion and will meet it.

Verse number: 6

فَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِيَ كِتَابَهُ بِيَمِينِهِ [٧]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Then as for he who is given his record in his right hand,

Verse number: 7

فَسَوْفَ يُحَاسَبُ حِسَابًا يَسِيرًا [٨]

Translation: English - Sahih International

He will be judged with an easy account

Verse number: 8

وَيَنْقَلِبُ إِلَىٰ أَهْلِهِ مَسْرُورًا [٩]

Translation: English - Sahih International

And return to his people in happiness.

Verse number: 9

وَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِيَ كِتَابَهُ وَرَاءَ ظَهْرِهِ [١٠]

Translation: English - Sahih International

But as for he who is given his record behind his back,

Verse number: 10

فَسَوْفَ يَدْعُو ثُبُورًا [١١]

Translation: English - Sahih International

He will cry out for destruction

Verse number: 11

وَيَصْلَىٰ سَعِيرًا [١٢]

Translation: English - Sahih International

And [enter to] burn in a Blaze.

Verse number: 12

إِنَّهُ كَانَ فِي أَهْلِهِ مَسْرُورًا [١٣]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Indeed, he had [once] been among his people in happiness;

Verse number: 13

إِنَّهُ ظَنَّ أَنْ لَنْ يَحُورَ [١٤]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Indeed, he had thought he would never return [to Allah ].

Verse number: 14

بَلَىٰ إِنَّ رَبَّهُ كَانَ بِهِ بَصِيرًا [١٥]

Translation: English - Sahih International

But yes! Indeed, his Lord was ever of him, Seeing.

Verse number: 15

فَلَا أُقْسِمُ بِالشَّفَقِ [١٦]

Translation: English - Sahih International

So I swear by the twilight glow

Verse number: 16

وَاللَّيْلِ وَمَا وَسَقَ [١٧]

Translation: English - Sahih International

And [by] the night and what it envelops

Verse number: 17

وَالْقَمَرِ إِذَا اتَّسَقَ [١٨]

Translation: English - Sahih International

And [by] the moon when it becomes full

Verse number: 18

لَتَرْكَبُنَّ طَبَقًا عَنْ طَبَقٍ [١٩]

Translation: English - Sahih International

[That] you will surely experience state after state.

Verse number: 19

فَمَا لَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ [٢٠]

Translation: English - Sahih International

So what is [the matter] with them [that] they do not believe,

Verse number: 20

وَإِذَا قُرِئَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقُرْآنُ لَا يَسْجُدُونَ [٢١]

Translation: English - Sahih International

And when the Qur'an is recited to them, they do not prostrate [to Allah ]?

بَلِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يُكَذِّبُونَ [٢٢]

Translation: English - Sahih International

But those who have disbelieved deny,

Verse number: 22

وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يُوعُونَ [٢٣]

Translation: English - Sahih International

And Allah is most knowing of what they keep within themselves.

Verse number: 23

فَبَشِّرْهُمْ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ [٢٤]

Translation: English - Sahih International

So give them tidings of a painful punishment,

Verse number: 24

إِلَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍ [٢٥]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Except for those who believe and do righteous deeds. For them is a reward uninterrupted.
