Read Surat At-Takathur with Tafsir and Translation

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

أَلْهَاكُمُ التَّكَاثُرُ [١]

Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you

Verse number: 1

حَتَّىٰ زُرْتُمُ الْمَقَابِرَ [٢]

Until you visit the graveyards.

Verse number: 2

كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ [٣]

No! You are going to know.

Verse number: 3

ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ [٤]

Then no! You are going to know.

Verse number: 4

كَلَّا لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عِلْمَ الْيَقِينِ [٥]

No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty...

Verse number: 5

لَتَرَوُنَّ الْجَحِيمَ [٦]

You will surely see the Hellfire.

Verse number: 6

ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيْنَ الْيَقِينِ [٧]

Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty.

Verse number: 7

ثُمَّ لَتُسْأَلُنَّ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَنِ النَّعِيمِ [٨]

Then you will surely be asked that Day about pleasure.
