Read Surat Al-Rahman with Tafsir and Translation

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

الرَّحْمَٰنُ [١]

Translation: English - Sahih International

The Most Merciful

Verse number: 1

عَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ [٢]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Taught the Qur'an,

Verse number: 2

خَلَقَ الْإِنْسَانَ [٣]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Created man,

Verse number: 3

عَلَّمَهُ الْبَيَانَ [٤]

Translation: English - Sahih International

[And] taught him eloquence.

Verse number: 4

الشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَانٍ [٥]

Translation: English - Sahih International

The sun and the moon [move] by precise calculation,

Verse number: 5

وَالنَّجْمُ وَالشَّجَرُ يَسْجُدَانِ [٦]

Translation: English - Sahih International

And the stars and trees prostrate.

Verse number: 6

وَالسَّمَاءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ الْمِيزَانَ [٧]

Translation: English - Sahih International

And the heaven He raised and imposed the balance

Verse number: 7

أَلَّا تَطْغَوْا فِي الْمِيزَانِ [٨]

Translation: English - Sahih International

That you not transgress within the balance.

Verse number: 8

وَأَقِيمُوا الْوَزْنَ بِالْقِسْطِ وَلَا تُخْسِرُوا الْمِيزَانَ [٩]

Translation: English - Sahih International

And establish weight in justice and do not make deficient the balance.

Verse number: 9

وَالْأَرْضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلْأَنَامِ [١٠]

Translation: English - Sahih International

And the earth He laid [out] for the creatures.

Verse number: 10

فِيهَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَالنَّخْلُ ذَاتُ الْأَكْمَامِ [١١]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Therein is fruit and palm trees having sheaths [of dates]

Verse number: 11

وَالْحَبُّ ذُو الْعَصْفِ وَالرَّيْحَانُ [١٢]

Translation: English - Sahih International

And grain having husks and scented plants.

Verse number: 12

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ [١٣]

Translation: English - Sahih International

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Verse number: 13

خَلَقَ الْإِنْسَانَ مِنْ صَلْصَالٍ كَالْفَخَّارِ [١٤]

Translation: English - Sahih International

He created man from clay like [that of] pottery.

Verse number: 14

وَخَلَقَ الْجَانَّ مِنْ مَارِجٍ مِنْ نَارٍ [١٥]

Translation: English - Sahih International

And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire.

Verse number: 15

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ [١٦]

Translation: English - Sahih International

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Verse number: 16

رَبُّ الْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَرَبُّ الْمَغْرِبَيْنِ [١٧]

Translation: English - Sahih International

[He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets.

Verse number: 17

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ [١٨]

Translation: English - Sahih International

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Verse number: 18

مَرَجَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ [١٩]

Translation: English - Sahih International

He released the two seas, meeting [side by side];

Verse number: 19

بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخٌ لَا يَبْغِيَانِ [٢٠]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Between them is a barrier [so] neither of them transgresses.

Verse number: 20

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ [٢١]

Translation: English - Sahih International

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Verse number: 21

يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُمَا اللُّؤْلُؤُ وَالْمَرْجَانُ [٢٢]

Translation: English - Sahih International

From both of them emerge pearl and coral.

Verse number: 22

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ [٢٣]

Translation: English - Sahih International

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Verse number: 23

وَلَهُ الْجَوَارِ الْمُنْشَآتُ فِي الْبَحْرِ كَالْأَعْلَامِ [٢٤]

Translation: English - Sahih International

And to Him belong the ships [with sails] elevated in the sea like mountains.

Verse number: 24

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ [٢٥]

Translation: English - Sahih International

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Verse number: 25

كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَانٍ [٢٦]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Everyone upon the earth will perish,

Verse number: 26

وَيَبْقَىٰ وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ [٢٧]

Translation: English - Sahih International

And there will remain the Face of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor.

Verse number: 27

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ [٢٨]

Translation: English - Sahih International

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Verse number: 28

يَسْأَلُهُ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ فِي شَأْنٍ [٢٩]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Whoever is within the heavens and earth asks Him; every day He is bringing about a matter.

Verse number: 29

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ [٣٠]

Translation: English - Sahih International

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Verse number: 30

سَنَفْرُغُ لَكُمْ أَيُّهَ الثَّقَلَانِ [٣١]

Translation: English - Sahih International

We will attend to you, O prominent beings.

Verse number: 31

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ [٣٢]

Translation: English - Sahih International

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Verse number: 32

يَا مَعْشَرَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنْسِ إِنِ اسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَنْ تَنْفُذُوا مِنْ أَقْطَارِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ فَانْفُذُوا لَا تَنْفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلْطَانٍ [٣٣]

Translation: English - Sahih International

O company of jinn and mankind, if you are able to pass beyond the regions of the heavens and the earth, then pass. You will not pass except by authority [from Allah ].

Verse number: 33

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ [٣٤]

Translation: English - Sahih International

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Verse number: 34

يُرْسَلُ عَلَيْكُمَا شُوَاظٌ مِنْ نَارٍ وَنُحَاسٌ فَلَا تَنْتَصِرَانِ [٣٥]

Translation: English - Sahih International

There will be sent upon you a flame of fire and smoke, and you will not defend yourselves.

Verse number: 35

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ [٣٦]

Translation: English - Sahih International

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Verse number: 36

فَإِذَا انْشَقَّتِ السَّمَاءُ فَكَانَتْ وَرْدَةً كَالدِّهَانِ [٣٧]

Translation: English - Sahih International

And when the heaven is split open and becomes rose-colored like oil -

Verse number: 37

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ [٣٨]

Translation: English - Sahih International

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

Verse number: 38

فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَا يُسْأَلُ عَنْ ذَنْبِهِ إِنْسٌ وَلَا جَانٌّ [٣٩]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Then on that Day none will be asked about his sin among men or jinn.

Verse number: 39

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ [٤٠]

Translation: English - Sahih International

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Verse number: 40

يُعْرَفُ الْمُجْرِمُونَ بِسِيمَاهُمْ فَيُؤْخَذُ بِالنَّوَاصِي وَالْأَقْدَامِ [٤١]

Translation: English - Sahih International

The criminals will be known by their marks, and they will be seized by the forelocks and the feet.

Verse number: 41

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ [٤٢]

Translation: English - Sahih International

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Verse number: 42

هَٰذِهِ جَهَنَّمُ الَّتِي يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا الْمُجْرِمُونَ [٤٣]

Translation: English - Sahih International

This is Hell, which the criminals deny.

Verse number: 43

يَطُوفُونَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ حَمِيمٍ آنٍ [٤٤]

Translation: English - Sahih International

They will go around between it and scalding water, heated [to the utmost degree].

Verse number: 44

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ [٤٥]

Translation: English - Sahih International

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Verse number: 45

وَلِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِ جَنَّتَانِ [٤٦]

Translation: English - Sahih International

But for he who has feared the position of his Lord are two gardens -

Verse number: 46

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ [٤٧]

Translation: English - Sahih International

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

Verse number: 47

ذَوَاتَا أَفْنَانٍ [٤٨]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Having [spreading] branches.

Verse number: 48

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ [٤٩]

Translation: English - Sahih International

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Verse number: 49

فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ تَجْرِيَانِ [٥٠]

Translation: English - Sahih International

In both of them are two springs, flowing.

Verse number: 50

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ [٥١]

Translation: English - Sahih International

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Verse number: 51

فِيهِمَا مِنْ كُلِّ فَاكِهَةٍ زَوْجَانِ [٥٢]

Translation: English - Sahih International

In both of them are of every fruit, two kinds.

Verse number: 52

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ [٥٣]

Translation: English - Sahih International

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Verse number: 53

مُتَّكِئِينَ عَلَىٰ فُرُشٍ بَطَائِنُهَا مِنْ إِسْتَبْرَقٍ وَجَنَى الْجَنَّتَيْنِ دَانٍ [٥٤]

Translation: English - Sahih International

[They are] reclining on beds whose linings are of silk brocade, and the fruit of the two gardens is hanging low.

Verse number: 54

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ [٥٥]

Translation: English - Sahih International

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Verse number: 55

فِيهِنَّ قَاصِرَاتُ الطَّرْفِ لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنْسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَانٌّ [٥٦]

Translation: English - Sahih International

In them are women limiting [their] glances, untouched before them by man or jinni -

Verse number: 56

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ [٥٧]

Translation: English - Sahih International

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

Verse number: 57

كَأَنَّهُنَّ الْيَاقُوتُ وَالْمَرْجَانُ [٥٨]

Translation: English - Sahih International

As if they were rubies and coral.

Verse number: 58

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ [٥٩]

Translation: English - Sahih International

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Verse number: 59

هَلْ جَزَاءُ الْإِحْسَانِ إِلَّا الْإِحْسَانُ [٦٠]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Is the reward for good [anything] but good?

Verse number: 60

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ [٦١]

Translation: English - Sahih International

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Verse number: 61

وَمِنْ دُونِهِمَا جَنَّتَانِ [٦٢]

Translation: English - Sahih International

And below them both [in excellence] are two [other] gardens -

Verse number: 62

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ [٦٣]

Translation: English - Sahih International

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

Verse number: 63

مُدْهَامَّتَانِ [٦٤]

Translation: English - Sahih International

Dark green [in color].

Verse number: 64

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ [٦٥]

Translation: English - Sahih International

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Verse number: 65

فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ نَضَّاخَتَانِ [٦٦]

Translation: English - Sahih International

In both of them are two springs, spouting.

Verse number: 66

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ [٦٧]

Translation: English - Sahih International

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
